24 Aug 2009 - Alucard updates Galore! Alucard has been
spotted gracing Japanese video game arcades in a cute little mini figure form!
Check it out!
The two sets were released this
year, and include as set one: Simon Belmont & young Maria Renard (Judgement costumes), and set two: Alucard &
older Maria Renard from SotN. Happy fun stuff!! ^_^ I've seen these figures for purchase anywhere between
$27 and $37... and that's NOT for Alucard... he's probably more. Hopefully more of these figures will show up
soon so the rest of us can grab one!
Also, to stir up the rumor mill a bit, Alucard is
supposedly starring in an XBox360/PS3
Castlevania game (not Lords of Shadow) sometime in the future. Details are sketchy, and prone to change.
Take a peek at the
really short trailer here.
Rumors speculate that it
will continue where the Japanese radio drama leaves off (Alucard and Maria hook up! Then Alucard gets angsty...
and monsters attack... go figure). There's also the speculation that some sort of Alucard/Maria offspring is
an ancestor of Eric LeCarde. But we'll have to see. (and now I'm going to have to get a 360, dangit!!)
19 Nov 2007 - It's official! The new
Alucard action figure is out!
Now I just need to get my hands on one!!! My bad for not pre-ordering one... :( If someone has more images of
this figure, please send me some! This figure is 7" tall, posable, and comes with a sword, bottle of holy water,
a chunk of meat (giggles), and a cross/rosario. The Castlevania series 1 set has Alucard, Dracula (with mouth
wide open.. rather annoying), the Succubus (from SotN), and Simon Belmont (in his Conan-esque glory). As you
can see, the details on these figures are amazing, and from the designation "Series 1", it means there's a hope
of a second or third series! The only thing that would make these figures cooler would be the inclusion of Maria
and Richter figures (SotN versions, of course!). Here's hoping! When I finally get a figure of my own, I'll
post lots of fun pics in the gallery.
