about Hector

Hector is one of two Devil Forgemasters, talented warriors who serve under the dark lord Dracula, summoning "innocent devils" to do their bidding. Or rather, Hector was a Devil Forgemaster - he turned traitor three years before the events of CoD, abandoning Dracula, who was then defeated by Trevor Belmont and his companions (the story of Castlevania 3).

But Hector was lured back to his old master's castle by Isaac, the other Devil Forgemaster, who wanted to take his revenge on Hector for humiliating him and his master three years earlier. Hector's wife, Rosaly, had been tried and executed as a witch thanks to Isaac's manipulation of her trial.

Thus, Isaac had his revenge, but Hector was left wanting his own. And little did he realize that he was also being manipulated, though not by Isaac's hand, and innocently fell right into the trap that had been laid for him...
