Character Profiles-![]() |
Jonathan Morris The energetic and young hero of the game. He is the son of John Morris (from Castlevania: Bloodlines) and carries the "Vampire Killer" whip. He is unable to unlock the true potential of the whip himself, not being of the Belmont Clan. He is impatient and a little rash, prone to charging into situations without thinking. |
![]() |
Charlotte Aulin The smart and magical heroine of the game. Charlotte is of the Belnades/Fernandez Clan, who have helped the Belmonts in their quest to destroy Dracula (such as Sypha and Yoko Belnades) throughout the centuries. She commands strong magics and usually is the level-headed one, explaning the workings of the castle, puzzling out mysteries, and pulling Jonathan out of danger. |
![]() |
Stella Lecarde Is the more outspoken and firey of the two sisters. She wields a variety of swords and takes the leadership role of the two. She is more emotional and attacks with swords and energy waves. |
![]() |
Loretta Lecarde Is more quiet and unassuming. She usually follows the orders of Brauner and Stella, using her ice magic to great destruction. |
![]() |
Brauner An artist/vampire who seeks to destroy the world (what super-villian doesn't??). He used the magic of his paintings to trap the souls killed in World War II to recreate Dracula's Castle. |
![]() |
Wind The mysterious ghost teacher of the castle. His spirit was trapped here when he entered the castle to vanquish the evil within. He will give Jonathan and Charlotte quests to complete, rewarding them with special powers or items. Some of the most powerful spells and items in the game can be aquired from him. |
![]() |
Vincent Dorin A good hearted (if somewhat cowardly) priest who sells items to Jonathan and Charlotte to benefit his church. (one would think that he'd give them stuff for free out of charity, but no dice...) He is the merchant of the game. |
![]() |
Death Dracula's henchmen who was drawn to the revival of the castle by Brauner. He exists as a third party, mostly, not helping Brauner but not really preventing him, either. Death seeks only to resurrect his Master, Dracula, and sees Brauner as a means to an end. |
Alternate Modes-
These modes are available after you've gotten the "good" ending for the game:
Boss Rush Mode allows you (and a possible WiFi opponent!!) to run through a series of bosses from the game to try to get the best time in defeating them. The bosses are roughly in the order you encounter them in the castle. You are able to select your team from any of the saved games you have stored.
Sisters Mode allows you to play as Stella and Loretta Lecarde. They both are heavy magic users who float instead of walk. Their floating eats up magic points, so recharge by floating along the ground. This mode is unique in which the characters are controlled almost completely by the stylus. Loretta fires an ice spell where the stylus is pointed, and Stella damages enemies the stylus rushes over. This mode's story is a prelude to the actual game storyline. You can use a few magic spells, but no subweapons or items.
Richiter Mode allows you to play as Richiter (the game misspells it, grr) Belmont and Maria Renard from Dracula X. Richter gives the player the good old whipping action of Castlevania-games-of-yore, and Maria uses her animal companions as attacks (the doves, while cute, are pretty darn powerful!). Richter runs incredibly fast (Maria's only a little slower) and can utilize his double-jumps and super jumps from earlier games from the start. This allows you to explore the castle however you please. You can use subweapons and a few magic spells, but no items.
Old Axe Armor Mode allows you to play as the Old Axe Armor enemy from earlier games. This mode lacks a second character, as well as items and magic spells. Old-school-type monster whipping! (except with an axe... >.< ) You are able to use sub-weapons, however.
"Game +" Mode(s) Allows the player to adjust the difficulty settings, add a level cap (if desired) to a new game, or start a new game with all the aquired powerups and items from the previously saved game.
